Tours

Sightseeing and photographic tours tailored to your needs.  If you plan on hiring a car during your visit to Crete, take me along with you and I'll be your custom navigation aid

I have lived on the fantastic island of  Crete for nearly 20 years and have been a photographer for a lot longer.  I can show you spectacular places you might never have found.   Whether you: just like to take holiday pictures, would like to see and photograph more of the hidden Crete, would like to learn more about photography, are a keen amateur or have a serious interest in photography, my tours cater to all levels of interest.

For the enthusiast, I can offer a Manfrotto tripod with a top of the range Nodal Ninja panoramic head and rotator for you to produce stunning panoramic and 360VR images; I will of course be happy to show you how to get the best from such equipment.  A selection of full frame Nikon fit lenses from 17 to 350mm are also available.

To discuss your requirements, email Tim Rainey at info@cretephotography.com or call me on + 30 6977 149781

All photographic tours run at a pace to suit you; I will not rush you.  I fully understand that waiting for the right light can make the difference between a great shot and a so-so result.    Typically, tours are seven hours duration and take in as many sites as time permits.  We stop for a coffee break around 11am and again for a tasty lunch at a taverna around 2 or 3pm (food and refreshments not included in tour cost).  Sensible footwear is advisable, as is a hat, and I consider a bottle of drinking water a necessity.  I would advise against bringing the type of partner who complains the moment you mention tripod

Golden hour tours starting either pre- dawn, or before sunset, can also be arranged.

I look forward to welcoming you to Crete and showing you some spectacular locations on this fantastic island
